Loveyapa Movie Review
Star Cast - Junaid Khan, Khushi Kapoor
Director - Advait Chandan
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Loveyapa is an important film for this generation. Not just does it deserve a chance on the big screen, it also deserves to be talked about. If not for anything else, then for its sheer good intention.

Rating Score -> 2/5
Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor film lacks sizzle, wraps important stuff in oodles of banality. Director Advait Chandan shows courage in showing that both the ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ have secrets buried in their phones: she has exes, and is a convincing liar; he has ex-exes.
3. Times Now -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Loveyapa is a one-time no-brainer watch. The gap between the screen and the audience is too far to be bridged considering the lack of spark and spunk in the narrative and performances. It has its moments but fewer to take back home.
4. First Post -
Rating Score -> 4/5
On the whole, Loveyapa is a joyful entertainer, which has all the elements of being a perfect rom-com along with a subtle yet strong message.
5. News 18 -
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
Loveyapa is no Love Aaj Kal, which claimed that eras may change but the true essence and meaning of love will always remain the same. Having said that, it manages to remind us of the importance of forgiveness and letting go of ego in relationships.

Loveyapa is no Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (Aamir’s nephew Imran’s debut), which has become a cult hit over the years, with immense repeat value. This film, on the other hand, is barely a one time watch, and that too only because there’s an acute dearth of good rom-coms.

Rating Score -> 2/5
25 years later, they are still making the same mistake as they did with Abhishek Bachchan by trying to force fit him in his father's shoes. Loveyapa may differ generation to generation, Bollyapa goes on and on.

Yes. It is fun, sometimes frivolous, at times serious, but definitely enjoyable, if you can overlook the lead pair's shortcomings.
9. India TV -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Overall, the film is an average one. The film has an interesting plot of exchanging cell phones; however, it fails to take it to another level in the second half. Loveyapa also touches on the topic of deepfakes, but the film didn't do proper justice and failed to deep dive into it.
10. Times of India -
Rating Score -> 3.0/5
The film’s entertaining and youthful take on modern love effectively captures digital-age dilemmas, but a sharper, more focused narrative would have enhanced its impact. For takers of romcom and dramas, this will be an easy-breezy watch.
11. NDTV -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Loveyapa will probably not send you into paroxysms of delight, but it is a decent enough film while it lasts.
