1. Taran Adarsh -
Rating Score -> 3.5/5
A wild, crazy, over-the-top ride that transports you to the cinema of 1980s... Don't ask questions or look for logic... Extra points for its high-energy songs and seetimaar dialogues.

2. First Post -
Rating Score -> 0.5/5
The movie is all about the power of this man Ravi Kumar, but does Himesh Reshammiya, who is hardly an actor, deserve so much screen time. I hate to run down the effort of any filmmaker, but here I don’t see hardly any effort being put into making even a decent one- time watch film. Absolute nonsensical chest thumping patriotism which makes no sense.

3. News 18 -
Rating Score -> 4/5
Badass Ravi Kumar promises truckloads of laughter and awkwardness—and boy, does it deliver! You’ll find yourself cackling and cracking up throughout. It more than makes up for the gap left by the lack of genuinely funny comic capers.

4. Times Now -
Rating Score -> 3/5
Lord Himesh is back and how! Hear me out, this movie is so stupid that you will find yourself scratching your head at one point, but on the next you will be stunned (pun intended) due to the unapologetic dialogues. Despite its flaws, Badass Ravi Kumar is oddly watchable. It’s the kind of film that doesn’t try to be anything it’s not.s.

5. Hindustan Times -
Rating Score -> n/a
Overall, Badass Ravikumar is expectedly a cringefest, and the makers made it clear right from the trailer. You get what you are promised. If you’re a Himesh Reshammiya fan, this film is for you. If you’re not a Himesh Reshammiya fan… you are, you just don’t know it yet.

6. India Today -
Rating Score -> 3/5
What works in the film’s favour is its sheer honesty and conviction. It may be chaotic and over-the-top, but you enjoy it because the actors are clearly having fun. And it’s not just Himesh or Prabhudeva—seasoned performers like Prashant Narayan, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever and Rajesh Sharma go full melodramatic in their roles.

7. Rediff -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Ravi Kumar needed this madcap energy but Reshammiya's stolid presence that struggles to hit coolness with long hair, dark glasses and cheesy lines, but effortless badassery cannot be acquired. It is either built in, or slogged for.

8. Times of India -
Rating Score -> 1.5/5
Even if you leave logic at the door, Badass Ravi Kumar fails to provide even guilty-pleasure entertainment. Himesh Reshammiya’s attempt at a mass-action spectacle is not just unwatchable—it’s an exhausting affair.

9. Komal Nahta -
Rating Score -> n/a
Badass Ravi Kumar has hit music, exciting action, heavenly locations, and the retro feel as its plus points but, at the end of the day, it is a very ordinary fare with no novelty whatsoever.
