Despite its flaws, Vedaa remains an entertaining and thought-provoking watch, effectively engaging the audience with its strong themes and compelling storyline. While the climax may not fully measure up to the film’s potential when compared to others in the genre, the journey it takes you on is undeniably gripping, making Vedaa a worthwhile experience.

While John's character does reveal that he acted out of a desire for 'sukoon,' we wish the makers had explored the emotional connection between the student and coach more deeply. It could have added much more depth and layers to the film.

John Abraham's Film Manages Occasionally To Tide Over Its Troughs. The film, on its part, goes all out and throws a few punches in the right direction. Some parts of the battle that it wages go overboard and last way too long.

Vedaa_ is not just a typical action drama. Admitting that the story line is flawed, but you cannot deny that it is intense and immensely engaging. But it is time for John Abraham to reinvent himself and try some other genre of movies. The movie will truly make you question from the bottom of your heart how independent are we?

Nikkhil Advani serves up a massy, masala movie with a message and whistle-worthy action.

Vedaa provides an engaging experience despite its shortcomings. For those seeking a fresh action film with an emotional narrative, this is a worthwhile choice.
7. Money Control -
Rating Score -> 3/5
John Abraham, Sharvari-starrer is a gutsy action flick with an engaging plot. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa is a welcome change. While most action flicks sacrifice plot for the sake of majestic entry scenes and fight sequences, Vedaa is an exception. The film does have a story to tell, even if much of it is overshadowed by action scenes.

Addresses important issues, but action takes precedence after a point… Solid first half, impactful interval block, weak second hour and an overstretched finale… #JohnAbraham is earnest, #Sharvari excels.

John Abraham’s socially-conscious action entertainer does not stay the distance. Despite a solid turn by Sharvari, Nikkhil Advani’s attempt to give a real social issue a larger-than-life treatment creates an uneven impact

On the whole, Vedaa is a fair fare but it is an odd marriage of mass and class cinema. It will definitely score in single-screen cinemas and mass centres. Business in multiplexes will be limited. The holiday weekend and the lack of new releases in the forthcoming weeks will help its business.

Sharvari breaks the mould as John Abraham gets to slice and dice. John Abraham is as Abraham always is -- slicing, dicing and keeping the villains at bay with impassive ferocity, in some of the most kinetic action sequences seen recently.

Vedaa has its heart in the right place. You see the work put in every frame. Like the hoarding of a cement brand we are shown in multiple shots featuring Vedaa. ‘Toofan’, it reads. Smart, no?

If there is something that is out of place in a film that talks of the dignity of women, it is a crude item number, which adds nothing to the narrative flow and detracts from the seriousness of the message.
