Stree 2 is funny, has some good scares, and is a step forward for the franchise. While Hollywood boasts of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), our made-in-India SCU (Stree Cinematic Universe) also has great potential.

The VFX starts off strong, particularly in the first half with effective jump scares. However, they falter a bit in the climax. The songs, unfortunately, don’t match up to those from the first Stree film; none have left a lasting impression. Despite its flaws, Stree 2 is a fun watch.

The film successfully extends the Maddock Supernatural Universe – mixing horror, comedy, and social messages in a way that feels fresh and engaging. While the second half may not be as strong as the first, the film as a whole is a mega-entertainer that delivers on all fronts.

Stree 2 is without a shadow of a doubt one of the finest films of 2024 with a perfect storyline, acting performances, and beautiful direction. The VFX in the film will also not disappoint you and the horror scenes are going to give you nightmares for sure. If you have watched the OG film, then there should not be any dilemma about whether to watch this one or not. Or if either horror or comedy is your favourite genre then also Stree 2 is highly recommended.

All the principal actors know exactly what the game is. Embracing the zaniness of the project with gusto, they appear appreciably more into the swing of things than they were in the precursor. If only Stree 2 had kept pace with the wonderfully clued-in cast, it would have been an unqualified success. If it isn't, it is only because it shies away from breaking the mould and does not aim for more than just more of the same.

Especially when a bunch of scared boys hide behind heaps of bangles while the girl whips the baddie with her all-powerful pigtail. Chanderi Puran is ready to add new chapters to the spectacle. 'Stree 3's kal aana' is as inevitable as the purush threatened by it.
