Yes, the film is underperforming a bit in the domestic (Northern America) market but it is simply sensational in the Rest of the World so far.
Avatar 2 grossed a staggering $ 955.2 million till the last report was filled in. The film accumulated $ 293.3 million from the Northern American market. It collected a huge $ 661.9 million from the rest of the world.
Avatar 2 collected a whopping $ 104.5 million from China box office alone. It collected a further $ 60.5 million from France, followed by $ 53.9 million from South Korea.
