Thank God is showing a normal drop on day 2 (Wednesday) as early trends for the day are coming in. The problem is the film under-performed a bit on opening day and hence, ideally, it needed a minimal drop on the 2nd day.
Thank God occupancy details for day 2 are given below. When samples of day 2 are compared with day 1, a drop of around 30% is seen. Generally, a 30% drop would have been acceptable in most cases. But here a drop of 20% is needed at the most.
Thank God Occupancy Report for Day 2 (Samples only) -
Morning - 14-15%
Noon - 25-30%
Evening-Night - 30-35%
The early trend suggests Thank God's Second Day box office collection is heading towards the 5.5-6 crore nett range. These are early estimates from the limited samples and the final count for the day may vary.
Thank God two day total is now heading towards the 13.5-14 crore nett mark which is again lower than the accepted level. Ideally, two day total should have been 17-18 crore nett at least. Still, everything is not lost and if the film sustains well in the coming days then the film can recover the grounds on Saturday and Sunday. Let's be positive and hope that film sustains well in the coming days.
