Kantara Hindi has shown a huge 100% pus growth on day 2 (Saturday) at the box office. This is insane stuff. A growth of 40-50% is touted as good. A 60-70% growth is excellent. Here it is much more than that.
Kantara collected a good 2.5 crore nett approx on the 2nd day. Thus, the film two day total stands at 3.75 crore nett approx. Film's first weekend total is now heading towards a very respectable 6.5-7 (+/-) crore nett approx.
Kantara's first day occupancy was around 10% for the whole day, whereas second day occupancy was around 20%. Kantara Hindi Monday numbers might chase down Friday numbers now. There is a possibility of even going a step better. Kantara might be another South Indian film this year whose lifetime business should easily cross the 20 crore nett mark and may emerge as a HIT in the Hindi version.
