Akshay Kumar's consistency in the year 2022 is simply unparalleled as he has delivered another big dud with Raksha Bandhan.
Such is the consistency that of Akshay Kumar in 2022 that it is highly difficult to predict which is his biggest flop among Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchan Paandey and Raksha Bandhan. Samrat Prithviraj is the biggest flop when we see the financial losses and on the other side, Raksha Bandhan should emerge as the lowest grosser among these mentioned films.
Now coming to Raksha Bandhan, it has done 38.5 crore nett business in the extended first week. The film did see some growth on day 8 (2nd Thursday) and that is mainly due to the Janmasthami holiday in some parts of India.
The film did retain significant screens and shows for the second week as there is literally no opposition. But again will it do significant business from here on? We don't think so. Friday is a holiday in many parts of India because of the Janmasthami holiday. Then there is Saturday and Sunday. It should boost Raksha Bandhan's business a bit but there is no doubt that from the 2nd Monday collections will be in lakhs. The lifetime collection of Raksha Bandhan should wrap up under the 50 crore nett mark.
Collection Breakup -
Thursday - 8.2 crore nett
Friday - 6.4 crore nett
Saturday - 6.5 crore nett
Sunday - 7.05 crore nett
Monday - 6.3 crore nett
Tuesday - 1.7 crore nett
Wednesday - 1.15 crore nett
Thursday - 1.25 crore nett approx
Total - 38.55 crore nett approx
