Laal Singh Chaddha vs Raksha Bandhan vs Karthikeya 2 vs Dobaaraa Screen Count as on 19th August 2022

Dobaaraa is the new Hindi release of this week and it will share screens with already holdover releases in Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Interestingly a south Indian film Karthikeya 2 which is dubbed in Hindi has also managed to get good screenings in the Hindi belt. Hence, a three-way fight this week has turned into a proper four-way box office fight now.

Coming to Dobaaraa first. Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu has managed to get 750-800 screens across India. Most of the screens are from premium and standard multiplexes mostly from metros and big cities. Considering the face value of the film such number of screens is more than enough to do good business at the box office.

Karthikeya 2 which is dubbed in Hindi has managed to get a very good 1000 screens across India. In fact, screens and shows are multiplied from the first week. The film has good potential to do significant business and don't be surprised if film leads the box office collection race this weekend. The film is carrying good ground reports and audiences are looking forward to it.

Now coming to big Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Both these films faltered very badly at the box office in the first week. Despite having multiple holidays in Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day and Janmasthami, both films combined first week business was under the 90 crore nett mark.

Laal Singh Chaddha has retained around 1300-1400 screens and Raksha Bandhan has retained 1250-1300 screens across India for the second week. This much screen is again more than enough considering the peanuts business both films are doing at this moment.

Screen Count as on 19th August 2022

Laal Singh Chaddha (Week 2) - 1300-1400 screens approx

Raksha Bandhan (Week 2) - 1250-1300 screens approx
