Laal Singh Chaddha Thursday (1st Day) Box Office Collection Early Estimates

Laal Singh Chaddha has underperformed on Day 1 (Thursday) at the box office as early trends for the day are coming in. Film should just sneak into the double-digit mark going by the samples we have at this moment. It is easily the weakest Aamir Khan opener in the longest time.

LSC has opened to 15% occupancy in the morning shows today. The film did pick up in noon and reported 25% occupancy. The film has shown decent growth in occupancy from evening onwards and as per the latest reporting 40-45% occupancy.

Decent occupancy in the evening and night shows have ensured that film will touch the double-digit mark. Otherwise even a double-digit finish was looking tough at the midway point of the day.

Morning - 15%

Noon - 25%

Evening-Night - 40-45%

The early trend suggests Laal Singh Chaddha First Day Box Office Collection is heading towards the 10.5-11 (+/-) crore nett range. These are early estimates and the final count for the day may vary. A large pool of data from interiors is awaited at this moment and hence actuals may go higher or lower depending on that.

Ideally, LSC needed to collect at least 15-17 crore nett for day one to have a decent start to its box office campaign. Now it is looking like the film will fall short of a par score by 4-6 crores at least. Anyways still there is a start and hope that film recover good ground from day 2 (Friday) onwards.
