Laal Singh Chaddha has managed to stop the free fall at the box office on the 2nd Thursday (8th day) and that is mainly due to Janmasthami eve festive time and nothing else. But despite solid hold, it is of no use as collections are already at the lowest level possible.
LSC is reporting a low 7-8% occupancy for day 8 so far. When samples of day 8 are compared to day 7 a drop of just 5% or so is seen. In a few places, there is no drop as such. Again it was due to Janmasthami eve only.
The early trend suggests Laal Singh Chaddha's 8th day business is heading towards a poor 1.4 (+/-) crore nett range. These are early estimates from limited samples and the final count for the day may vary. Thus, LSC has finally touched 50 crore nett in India. Ideally, it should have been touched on day 2 or day 3 itself.
Laal Singh Chaddha should see a better box office collection on the 2nd Friday because of the Janmasthami holiday factor. Then there is Saturday and Sunday. And from Monday onwards it should be all over as collections will come down to lakhs level. Again we are considering a general trend not any miracle kind of thing.
