Ek Villain Returns is going steady at the box office on weekdays, although collections are at a low level now. There is literally no opposition as such for the film and it will have a free run till 10th August.
Ek Villain Returns collected 2.2 crore nett approx on day 6. Thus, film total business currently stands at 31.3 crore nett approx. Film's first week collection is heading towards 33.25 crore nett range approx.
Ek Villain Returns did decent business in the first weekend. But film reported big drop on Monday and hence, weekdays business is below the mark. Overall first week's business of the film is below the mark and looks like the film will emerge as a Flop or Below Average unless it sustains extremely well on 2nd Friday. A 50 crore nett mark would have taken the film into the safe (average) zone. It looks like the film will fall short of that mark by 10 crores or so.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 7 crore nett
Saturday - 7.5 crore nett
Sunday - 9 crore nett
Monday - 3 crore nett
Tuesday - 2.6 crore nett
Wednesday - 2.2 crore nett
Total - 31.3 crore nett approx

If music wouldnt be there, it would be taken out after one week from theatre and the collection would remain 20cr...now atleast it has minor change to get the average mark.
ReplyDeleteAny collection below the movie budget of 70cr approx will make a movie a theatrical Flop.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there is no chance this movie can reach its budget in theatrical collection.
The film wont even collect in india in total 50cr...70cr. to door ki baat hai :-)
ReplyDeleteRemember the first 3 days collection of Ek Villain first part was 50cr and that was 8 years ago with lower ticket rates and less inflation
Yesterday T Series said, that they are thinking to release the version of Shreya Ghosals Dil and spend more money on the song as movie declared a flop. and they lost money alread.
ReplyDeleteWhy they should waste money by releasing Shreya Ghosal song as the movie will be declared a Flop soon??!!! Makers are right here...
