Ek Villain Returns has shown decent hold on Tuesday (5th day) at the box office. Despite the decent hold, collections are below the mark as Monday's box office result was below par.
Ek Villain Returns collected 2.6 crore nett approx on day 5. The drop from Monday is around 10-15%. Such a drop is ok and acceptable. But again Monday numbers were below average and hence the result is the same for Tuesday also.
Ek Villain Returns total business at the end of day 5 is 29.1 crore nett approx. The film's first week business is heading towards 33 (+/-) crore nett range. Ideally, the film needed to collect 40 crore nett in the first week and it looks like the film will fall short of that mark by 6-7 crores. There is an open second week which should boost the film business and take its theatrical total to the 40 crore nett mark.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 7 crore nett
Saturday - 7.5 crore nett
Sunday - 9 crore nett
Monday - 3 crore nett
Tuesday - 2.6 crore nett
Total - 29.1 crore nett approx

Thanks to the music esp. to the songs Dil and Shaamat, that the film is collection decent. Otherwise it would be taken aout from the halls after the 1st week.
ReplyDeleteThe the romantic tunes done the job in UK, where its a huge hit....
The makers made a bad decision by not relasing the song Dil from Shreya Goshal before the release of the film. It would have pushed the collections a bit more.
Nowadays its rare, that people will go to the cinema bec of the music, but here its the case.
