#Shamshera: UNBEARABLE. Rating: ⭐️½ Brings back memories of #ThugsOfHindostan… Even #RanbirKapoor’s star-power cannot save this ship from sinking… EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT. #ShamsheraReview
2. Times of India -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
To sum it up, director and co-writer Karan Malhotra surely seemed to have had a grand vision at the onset, but it’s his execution that seems to have betrayed him. Given the scale, the canvas and talent the makers had at hand, we only wish that it had all been pieced together better than what one saw.Click this link for details
3. Indian Express -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
This Ranbir Kapoor film is big, bad, loud and messy. Ranbir Kapoor is efficiently good as Shamshera, a leader of a tribe first treated as outcastes and later betrayed and kept enslaved in a fort.Click this link for details
4. Hindustan Times -

Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt set the screen on fire with their loud action avatars. The Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt-starrer has its faults but manages to hit enough right chords to be an enjoyable masala entertainer.Click this link for details
5. NDTV -
Rating Score -> 1/5
Moral of the story for Ranbir Kapoor: the actor should henceforth read his scripts with a more critical eye before buying into them. He owes it to his talent. Bollywood, in the midst of an extended lean patch, is in desperate need of a turnaround. Will Shamshera bring the crowds back to the theatres? NO. It is an epic-scale dud.Click this link for details
6. India Today -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Shamshera scores with its cinematography and background score, both of which give the film a majestic appeal. We only wish Malhotra invested the same passion in his writing. Shamshera is a mess that needs more than just star power to come to its rescue. Ranbir Kapoor, you deserved better!Click this link for details

On the whole, Shamshera belongs to an era gone by. It will, therefore, flop at the box-office.Click this link for details
8. Rediff -
Rating Score -> 2/5
Shamshera's problem is a shocking inability to support its bombastic ideas with gripping drama. The result is the wastage of not one but two Ranbir KapoorsClick this link for details
9. News 18 -
Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Shamshera doesn’t really have the punch or the thrill that is required to pull off a film of this scale. At 2 hours and 38 minutes, the film feels a little too long, blame it on weak editing. The grand canvas of the film does hold sway in terms of the visual experience, but at the end, this one is all show and shallow in substance. If you are expecting the film to give you a dose of entertainment, you’d be disappointed.Click this link for details

Shamshera has Convenient Plot Twists and Threadbare Characters. When all else fails, crows arrive to save the hero in Shamshera — but there’s no saviour for the audienceClick this link for details
11. DNA -
Rating Score -> 3/5
While in parts Shamshera does seem a little too stretched and boring, it is a high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer that you wouldn’t want to miss watching at a theatre near you.Click this link for details

Flop on the way
ReplyDeleteApart from Aamir Khan, bollywood actors and makers are two lazy (mentally and fysically) for the modern audience. They r looking toomuch for quick fix. So sorry audience are not buying caracature anymore
ReplyDeleteOTT has changed the way people watch films etc. Very few event films might work at the box office. A film like JJJ might have done atleast 125-150 cr pre pandemic and now its closing at 80 cr. That is tremendous loss of business......my guess is we would see more and more films releasing directly on OTT in the years to come....
ReplyDeleteLooking at the trailer, these kind of movies have been made before. There is no strong excitement to watch a familiar movie.
