Shamshera had a poor first day at the box office. The film just managed to collect double-digit for the day but that was simply not enough as it needed a much better opening. As the film has performed below average on day one needs a good jump on Saturday to recover grounds. Will it? We will have that answer in a few hours' time.
Shamshera collected 10 crore nett approx on Friday (1st Day). The film reported low occupancy all through the day. The film has recorded occupancy of 20% approx for day one. Occupancy is low and only because of wide release film collected 10 crore nett for the day. Otherwise business would have been even lower.
Shamshera is looking at 35-40 crore nett for the first weekend from here on with decent to good trending. Ideally, the film needed to get around 50-55 crore nett in the opening weekend and it looks like the film will stay below that mark by 10-15 crores or even more.
Shamshera is carrying a huge budget and hence a good theatrical business is a must. Ideally, the film needed to collect around 150 crore nett from India alone. But from the start, it is looking like film will need an excellent trend to even go close to 100 now.
Shamshera's initial audience word of mouth is mixed. Critic's reviews are negative but that hardly matters to anyone.
