Shamshera Advance Booking Report

Shamshera stars Ranbir Kapoor and he is coming after a long time. Hence, there is some expectation from the film. Plus it is coming from the YRF banner and the trailer has created the necessary buzz. Despite that, Shamshera is recording pretty low advances across India till the last report is filled in. This is definitely not a good sign.

However, there is still one more day to go and we hope that advances accelerate from here on. As per the latest report film is registering only 5-6% advances so far (Samples only). Ideally, a 10-15% advance booking would have been nice at this moment. Still, there is some time left and let's see how the film's advance booking goes today.

Shamshera being an action entertainer, there is a good possibility of spot booking for the film. A good spot booking also helps the film to put up a good box office total for the day. Shamshera is all set to release in excess of 3000 screens across India. Screen allocation is still going on and all India screen counts may go beyond 3500 also.

It means even a decent occupancy will take the film easily past the double-digit mark. Friday is a normal working day. Hence, a 10-12 crore nett will be a decent start to its box office campaign. A 15 crore nett opening will be a good start. Anything below double-digit will be a disappointing start to its box office campaign considering the film is carrying a good budget and good face value.

In pre-pandemic times, a film of the calibre of Shamshera needed a 15-20 crore nett opening. But the situation had changed post-pandemic and if the film gets an opening of say 12-13 crore nett on Friday, will be touted as a good start. Let's see how Shamshera goes at the box office from tomorrow onwards.
