Rating Score -> 2/5
What lacks in yet another Bollywood offering is the heart. Even with a ton of money pumped in, perfectly choreographed and shot fight sequences, a twisty enough plot to keep you invested, a father-son trope immortalised by the likes of Shakti (1982, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar), and some exaggeration, err, creative liberty, kuch toh missing hai in Rashtra Kavach Om. You just can’t put your finger on it.

Rating Score -> 2/5
Rashtra Kavach Om feels like a hurriedly done video game that needed more time on the table. Aditya and Sanjana put in their best but the script doesn’t do them justice.

Aditya Roy Kapur embraces his Arnie avatar in hare-brained movie. It is yet another addition to films Bollywood has adopted as a safe bet these days, with a hero who has patriotism oozing out of his pores.

‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ is just as unreal and outlandish as its name, if not more. But if you’re a diehard Aditya Roy Kapur fan then maybe this mission isn’t all that doomed for you.

Rating Score -> 1/5
Nothing Adds Up In Action Film With Aditya Roy Kapur As One-Man Demolition Squad. Since there is no defence system that can reverse the ill effects of bad writing, Rashtra Kavach Om is never in with a chance of putting two sensible ideas together.

6. The Hindu -

Rating Score -> n/a
In his attempt to play this character who suffers with partial memory loss, Aditya seems to have forgotten the tropes to acting that he acquired over the last few years. There are apparent attempts from director Kapil to hide plot holes by letting the supporting actors indulge in explosive exchanges of dialogues.

7. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 1/5
Om's shirt-ripping scene does not have any impact, however, and his pulling a helicopter with a chain just gets a yawn. A bad film can still salvage something if it is entertaining; Rashtra Kavach Om is criminally boring.

the film was previously titled Om: The Battle Within and now after having watched it, I feel this title would have worked better as each of the character was indeed fighting a battle within themselves. I couldn't make out why would the makers call it Rashtra Kavach Om and use chest-thumping patriotism as one of the tropes. Watch it only for Aditya Roy Kapoor if you must.
