HIT: The First Case had a poor start at the box office on opening day. However, collections are much better than the other release Shabaash Mithu which took a disastrous opening at the box office. Despite a poor start HIT still has some chance if it shows a good jump on Saturday and Sunday.
HIT collected 1.25 crore nett approx on Friday (Day 1) at the box office. At one time in the afternoon, it was looking as if it will fail to even touch 1 crore nett for the day. However, a solid pick up from evening took the film beyond the 1 crore nett mark. HIT will need at least 50-60% growth on Saturday to have any chance of survival.
Most shocking is the box office performance of Shabaash Mithu. The film has failed to touch 50 lakh nett approx for day one despite having more promotion than HIT. The film collected 45 lakh nett approx on day 1 which is extremely poor. The film has got no chance after such a horrible start. The film will need a miraculous jump of 100% or even more on Saturday if it aims for some total at the box office.
