Samrat Prithviraj is showing limited growth on Saturday (2nd day) at the box office as early trends are coming in. Limited jump is of no use as the film needs a big jump as the film underperformed on day one.
Samrat Prithviraj opened to 18-20% occupancy in the morning shows today. The film showed a jump in the noon and registered 28-30% occupancy. The film again showed a jump from evening onwards and as per the latest reporting 43-45% occupancy.
When samples of Saturday are compared to Friday, a jump of around 15-20% is seen. Ideally, the film needed growth of 50% or more. That is missing in the case of Prithviraj.
Morning - 18-20%
Noon - 28-30%
Evening-Night - 43-45%
The early trend suggests Samrat Prithviraj Day 2 Box Office Collection is heading towards the 12-13 (+/-) crore nett range. These are early estimates and the final count for the day may vary.
Two day total of Prithviraj is now heading towards the 22.5-23.5 (+/-) crore nett range. This is a below-par total as the film needed to collect a minimum of 35 crore nett in the first two days. If we go by the Saturday trend then the film may remain flat or may see a small jump on Sunday. A disappointing first weekend is on cards now.
