Samrat Prithviraj has taken a better start on Sunday (3rd day) at the box office. The start is much better than both Friday and Saturday and let's hope that film makes further inroads in noon and afternoon shows.
Samrat Prithviraj has opened to 30-32% occupancy in the morning shows of day 3. For the same, Day 2 opening was around 19%. It means a significant growth of 60-65% is seen when only morning shows are compared.
Occupancy Report for Morning (Samples only) -
Sunday - 30-32%
Saturday - 19%
Friday - 18%
Samrat Prithviraj has under-performed at the box office in the first two days. The film started below the mark on the first day and then showed only a limited jump on the second day. The first two day total of the film is around 23.25-23.5 crore nett approx. Ideally, the first two day total should have been a minimum of 32-33 crore nett mark. It means the film is lagging behind by 10 crores already from a par score after two days of business only.
Because of this film needs to put up a big growth on Sunday. If the film manages to see a jump of 30-40% on Sunday then it can still have a chance to survive at the box office. If not then it is all over for the film.
