Major Hindi version has faltered badly at the box office as early trends for 1st Monday (4th day) are coming in. Major is reporting low occupancy and hence Monday collection needed to remain close to Friday if not more. But that has not happened and looks like the film will lose all its steam even before the end of the first week.
Major is reporting a low occupancy of just 10% for the day. The film has failed to see any growth in occupancy in evening and night shows also. Evening and night shows are reporting 10-15% occupancy which is again low.
When Major's Monday samples are compared to Friday, a business drop of 30-40% is seen. It means film's Monday business is heading towards a paltry 60-70 lakh nett approx. Thus, film four day total is heading towards a poor 5.1-5.2 crore nett approx.
A 30-40% drop on Monday is ok if the film does well on Friday. But in the case of Major, the film fared very poorly on Friday. Hence ideally Monday collections needed to be on par or better than Friday. The film's first week business is now heading towards a poor 6.5 crore nett approx. The lifetime collection may wrap up around the 8-10 crore nett range.
