Anek has taken a very slow start at the box office on Friday (1st day) morning shows. Starts is slow, which is not good at all and the film needs a big push in the latter half of the day. It looks like the film will take a word of mouth opening now.
Anek has opened to 8-9% occupancy in the morning shows of the first day. The opening is much lower than a usual Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film. The only positive is that film is made on a very controlled budget and even a decent occupancy will give the film a respectable start.
Anek is released on 1500 screens across India which is not at all a bad screening. Yes, the film has potential and now needs enough footfall to score well.
There will be growth in occupancy as the day progresses. Best occupancy should be reported for the evening and night shows as the weekend is approaching. We simply hope that the growth is significant and big otherwise we are looking towards a poor first day at the box office.
