Jersey has taken a slow start on Friday (1st Day) Morning shows as early samples are coming in. It means the film will lot depend on the initial word of mouth and hope it is on the positive side which will help the film to boost the collections in the latter half of the day.
Jersey has opened to 10-15% occupancy in the morning shows today. The film has to fight it out with the might of KGF 2 which is currently ruling the box office. The initial trend suggests Jersey is right now the second choice for the moviegoers after KGF 2. It all can change quickly though.
Jersey stars Shahid Kapoor who last delivered a blockbuster in Kabir Singh. His fan following is increased because of that and there may be a good rise in the occupancy level, especially in the evening and the night shows.
We will have an idea of the ground-level word of mouth of the film by the end of the day. That matters a lot for the film as it has taken a slow opening. As for critics' word of mouth, again it hardly matters as audiences don't give a damn to them as most of the reviews are biased. Actually, most critics have zero knowledge of films and their making.
