Gangubai Kathiawadi has taken a decent start on Monday (Day 3) Morning shows as samples are coming in. Film is reporting an acceptable drop when samples are compared to Friday morning. However, on Friday film reported good growth in the latter half of the day, and let's hope that film reports the same on Monday.
Gangubai has opened with 13-14% occupancy in the morning shows today. For the same, Friday's opening was 19-20%. That means an occupancy drop of 30% is seen so far. But ticket prices are lower on weekdays and hence business drop will be more.
Gangubai has done pretty well in the opening weekend. The film has done 39-40 crores approx business in the first weekend itself. If the film holds well on 1st Monday then a healthy first week is on cards. 1st Monday and 2nd Friday are crucial for the film and if it performs well on these two mentioned days then Gangubai will be the first Hindi film to emerge as a hit in the year 2022.
