Tadap has started the box office journey on day one on a decent note. In fact, if we consider that the film stars newcomers then the start is good considering that the post-pandemic factor is still active. Hope now the film shows good trending through the weekend to put up a respectable total.
Tadap has collected 4.05 crore net approx on Friday (1st day). Film reported an average occupancy of 20% approx for the first day. Occupancy is a bit low. But again it is good considering that the film literally had no face value and is released on a good number of screens across India.
As the film is youth-centric it might find difficult to generate good growth on Saturday and Sunday. The reason is that the family audience may skip this film. Still, a reasonable jump is expected. There is also a possibility that the jump may be more on Sunday than Saturday.
As for the word of mouth of the film. Critics have given mixed reviews of the film. Anyways critics' reports hardly matter. As for the initial audience's feedback, it is mixed to positive. We will have a clear idea of the audience report by the end of day two.
