Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is showing a nominal drop on Tuesday (5th day) at the box office. Drop is around 10% or so from Monday. Despite decent hold, film collections are going nowhere as Monday collections were poor.
Chandigarh opened to 6% occupancy in the morning shows today. Film reported 9% occupancy for noon shows. As for evening occupancy was around 10%. Overall occupancy remained at a lower level. It means another below-average day at the box office.
CKA should do 1.75-2 crore net business on day 5. Night shows are still left. Hence, the final count for the day mat vary. Chandigarh Kar Aashiqui's total collection at the end of the day is heading towards an 18.5 crore net range.
The film should cross 20 crore net business by the end of the first week. However, most of its screening will be taken away by Spider-Man and hence, it will not add much from the second week onward. A lifetime business under 30 crore net is almost a certainty. The second Friday box office performance will decide whether the film will touch 25 crore net or not in India.
