Sooryavanshi had a massive opening weekend at the Indian box office. Numbers are simply insane considering it is a post-pandemic period and also considering that 50% occupancy capping is still placed at various places. If everything would have been normal then collections would have been even higher.
Sooryavanshi has collected a huge 26.95 crore net approx on Sunday (day 3). Thus, the film has achieved its biggest day on day 3 and has surpassed first day numbers which was a Diwali holiday. Generally, the film registers their biggest day on the Diwali holiday. It suggests ground-level word of mouth is very strong and the film should have a long run in theaters for sure.
Sooryavanshi's first weekend total stands at a whopping 77.1 crore net mark. Numbers are huge and it's a dream number considering prior to this, films that were released post-pandemic have failed miserably at the box office.
Sooryavanshi is definitely eyeing a 150 crore net mark in India now. In fact, the film is expected to go beyond that and may even challenge 200 crore net in India. 1st Monday and 2nd Friday box office numbers will give us an idea of where the film is heading in the long run. Even a decent hold on 1st Monday will ensure the film is a Hit. We hope that it shows more than a decent hold and emerges as a big hit in the coming days.
