The tussle between makers of the much-awaited Sooryavanshi and the National Multiplex chain is going on till the last report is filled in (IST 7pm report). Because of that advances have not started yet at various multiplexes across India. Only limited advances are going on. Hope issues are resolved soon between both the parties and Sooryavanshi has a grand Diwali release.
Advance booking has started in limited single screens across India. The film is reporting decent to good advances there till the last report (IST 7 pm). Considering that film is all set to open big on Friday at the box office.
Sooryavanshi is expected to release in excess of 4000 screens across India. The screen count may reach 4300-4400 and thus, it will be the widest release for any Akshay Kumar film to date. Again hopefully revenue-sharing issues are resolved cordially between the makers and the multiplex chain of India.
Sooryavanshi is all set to open in a massive 1300 screens overseas. It is easily the widest Akshay Kumar release in the international market. The film will release in whopping 66 countries across the globe as per the last report.
Sooryavanshi is one of the most awaited releases of the year. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Plus, there is the novelty of Singham (Ajay Devgn) and Simmba (Ranveer Singh) in it. The film is directed by Blockbuster king Rohit Shetty. Considering all factors film should take a bumper opening at the ticket counters.
Pre pandemic period, anything around 35-40 crore opening would have been the bumper start for the film. However, post-pandemic we are heading into the unknown. Hence, an opening of 20 crore net or more will be touted as a good start. The film has a tremendous face value and we are very much confident that it should have a big start on day one.
