Rating Score -> 2.5/5
All in all, ‘Bunty aur Babli 2’ had an exciting premise to revive the two iconic characters, but this sequel feels like quite a con-job in comparison with its original.

#BuntyAurBabli2: DISAPPOINTING.
Rating: Medium star½
Interesting ideas don't necessarily translate into interesting films... An absolute waste of such fine talent and opportunity! #BuntyAurBabli2Review

As Bunty Aur Babli 2 winds up, the senior duo moves into top gear and begins to teach the younger pair a thing or two about the art of conning people. But it is a case of too little too late. Given the note on which the film ends, another sequel seems very much on the cards. But if it's going to be a misfire of this magnitude, it might be better for Bunty and Babli to retreat right back into their shells. We will be more than happy to live with the memories of 2005.

Rating Score -> n/a
To sum up, Bunty Aur Babli 2 had all the right ingredients to serve a perfect dish, but too much mixing left it with no great after taste. Such fine actors look wasted in a half-hearted script. Watch it only for Rani Mukerji if you must.

5. DNA -

Rating Score -> 3/5
What works in the film's favour is that although it's a newer version, the overall feel will fill you with nostalgia. Crisp writing, fast-paced sequences, well-timed and perfectly delivered fiery dialogues with a dash of humour, make 'Bunty Aur Babli' an entertaining watch.

Overall, the movie is a one-time watch and doesn’t serve any big surprises or match the entertainment quotient of the first instalment. The script and plots of the movie is a complete set sequel that is made to piggyback on the success of the first instalment.

7. Rediff -

Rating Score -> 2/5
Bunty Aur Babli 2 throws in a politically aware bone, unleashing soft gibes on all things from 'vikas' to 'swachh Bharat' while describing Twitter as 'social media ka khararnak dakiya'', but it's much too garbled to make any impact. Between juvenile laughs, contrived messaging and finding lacklustre ways to doff its hat at the first one's familiarity, Bunty Aur Babli 2 is neither here nor there.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 Has A Repetitive Plot And Forgettable Dialogue. Few of the jokes land and the ease with which the cons are pulled off becomes, beyond a point, plain silly.

9. India.com -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Bunty Aur Babli 2 looks funny in parts and Rani holds it all together for the audience. Despite being a roaring mother and a fully devoted wife, Rani’s character never leaves its individuality. She appears strong, independent, smart and brave – like most women from the small towns of UP who help their kids stand on their feet and make a life of their own in the big cities. Now that’s one part of the writing which is on-point. For the rest, leave your hopes aside or else ‘thagg liye jayege‘!

10. Indian Express -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
Director Varun V Sharma doesn’t think Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukerji are enough to repeat the success of the original, so he keeps falling back on Sharvari and Siddhant.

11. India Today -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is enjoyable when the camera is on Saif and Rani. There is a chase sequence between the original Bunty-Babli and the newbies, which is a major highlight and is well shot. Overall, the film is entertaining and worth a watch. Yes, you will miss Abhishek and Rani’s chemistry, but don't let that not be a reason for you to skip the film.

12. Zoom -

Rating Score -> 2.5/5
The thrill of chase and con is slightly missing in the sequel. Not to take away from the film, there are certainly a few interesting moments in the movie, which will leave you predicting the next move of both Bunty and Babli pairs. All in all, the film is watchable, but it will also make you nostalgic for the OG Bunty Aur Babli.

13. Mid-day -

Rating Score -> 3/5
Bunty Aur Babli 2 is funny, for the most part. With dependable actors like Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Pankaj Tripathi fronting the film, it’s tough to fault the cast on their comic timing. With a runtime of 96 minutes, it delivers what it promises — ample laughs, silly cons and a largely enjoyable movie. But, this one is far from memorable. It’s a breezy entertainer, but viewers would expect better, especially when looking at the names attached with it.
