Bell Bottom Opening Day Collection Early Trends, Gives a Head Start to Ailing Exhibition Sector

Bell Bottom has finally given a head start to the ailing exhibition sector post-covid pandemic. However, occupancy is at the lower level as expected. The film has got a very limited release when we take into account that the film stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role and also being one of the awaited films of the year.

Bell Bottom has opened to 10-12% occupancy in the morning shows today. The maximum permissible occupancy is 50%. The film did show some jump in noon time and registered an occupancy of around 15%. The film did show further growth in the evening time and recorded a decent occupancy of 20-22%.

Predicting early trends is difficult at this moment as samples are very very limited. Plus, there are no night or late night shows in the majority of places. In addition, maximum permissible occupancy is capped at 50%. Still going by the early trends, film first-day business is trending towards 2.5-3 crore net mark. However, actual may vary as data are very limited and most of the interior reports are awaited.

The film is carrying good word of mouth and as the weekend is approaching we should expect a good jump in the coming days ahead. Bell Bottom has given some kind of start and that is great considering the situation is still bad across the country. Cinema halls are closed in Maharastra and it is a big setback for the exhibition sector. We only hope that soon cinema halls open up there also in the coming times ahead.
