Bell Bottom has put up a low extended first weekend total at the box office. This is due to the low start on opening day and film failing to show any major growth through the weekend. However, the film did show a good jump on Sunday and that is a good way to end the opening weekend. It gives us hope that film might trend well on the weekdays.
Bell Bottom has collected 4.25-4.5 crore net approx on day 4. Thus, total business at the end of opening weekend stands at 12.95-13.2 crore net approx. Good growth on Sunday has given us a hope that the film lifetime business should easily cross 20 crore net in India. But again whether the film can go beyond that all depends on how it performs on Monday (5th day) and coming second Friday.
Bell Bottom is not released in the Maharastra belt. Which is a big loss for the film. Plus film occupancy in theaters is capped at 50%. This rule has also led to a loss in the business. But again this is also true that film should have performed much better than what it is doing at the box office. A 20-25 crore net weekend would have been close to a respectable total and the film is far behind that total at this moment. Now let's wait and watch how things unfold on the weekdays.
Collection Breakup -
Thursday - 2.8 crore net
Friday - 2.7 crore net
Saturday - 3.2 crore net
Sunday - 4.25-4.5 crore net approx
Total - 12.95-13.2 crore net approx
