Roohi is holding strong on the second day (Friday) at the box office as early trends are coming in. Although business is on the lower side which is on the expected lines. Had the film received terrific word of mouth we might have seen a better occupancy on day 2. There is still Saturday and Sunday left and we still might see growth through the weekend.
Roohi is reporting occupancy in the lower range for the day so far. The film is reporting 10% occupancy approx till the last report. Reports are taken from very limited samples at this moment. When the same samples are compared to the first day then there is a drop of 15% or so.
Roohi should touch 2 crore nett for the 2nd day. The question is whether the film can go close to first day numbers. However, Thursday was a holiday in many parts of India on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri and today is a normal working day.
The box office numbers of Roohi would have been poor in normal circumstances. However, the post-Covid pandemic any significant collection will be touted as decent. In fact, despite the film carrying mixed reports, it is still attracting some kind of footfall in theatres which is definitely not a bad sign for the coming days ahead.
