Mumbai Saga has shown a significant drop on Wednesday (Sixth Day) at the box office. This is not a piece of good news and it means the film has now very little chance of touching the 20 crore net mark in India. Till Tuesday film was trending decent, but the drop on Wednesday is alarming and business on a single day has come under 1 crore net mark for the first time.
Mumbai Saga added 90 lakh net approx on day 6. Film total business thus stands at 12.55 crore net approx. The film's first-week collection is heading towards a below-par 13.25-13.5 crore net range. Ideally, the film should have been close to the 15 crore net mark at least by the end of week one.
Mumbai Saga is also affected because of the new Hollywood release in Godzilla vs Kong. Actually, it should not be as both are different genres and cater to different audiences. For example, Roohi was unaffected by the latest Hollywood release. Yes, there is coronavirus pandemic is on the rise again in India. Even considering that factor film should have collected on par with Roohi at least. But collections are much below that level.
