Mumbai Saga is showing better occupancy on Sunday (3rd day) so far when it is compared to both Friday and Saturday. But again, occupancy is at the lower level and easily could have been better. Still, Sunday numbers should be on par or better than Friday even if film registers drop in the night time today.
Mumbai Saga is registering 10-15% occupancy on average for the day, till the last report filled in. In fact, the film is showing decent occupancy of 15-20% for the noon shows. However, the film may find it tough to hold well in the latter half of the day and should register drop at least in the night shows. There may be some kind of drop even in the evening shows also.
Mumbai Saga has added 5.2 crore net approx in the first two days. The way film is trending at this moment, Mumbai Saga should touch or cross 3 crore net approx by the end of the day. It means first-weekend business is trending towards an 8+ crore net mark.
Mumbai Saga's business has been disappointing so far. Yes, film box office collection has been affected by the second wave of Coronavirus in India. Still, the film has decent screens left all across India and collections should have been much more than the actuals.
The face value of Mumbai Saga is much more than last week's release of Roohi. Plus, all India screens are good 70-80% more than Roohi. Even Mumbai Saga had a decent release on single screens across India. Looking at all the factor business of Mumbai Saga should have been at least better than Roohi. Even if we compare the trend, Roohi on the 2nd Saturday (day 10) registered a decent jump. However, the same kind of jump for Mumbai Saga was missing on Saturday (day 2).
