Much awaited Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi may now come in 2021 only. As per the latest report in Mumbai Mirror, Sooryavanshi will now release in theaters only in the first half of 2021. However, 83 movie starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has kept the coveted Christmas 2020 release date.
Reliance Entertainment CEO, Shibasish Sarkar, who is also one of the producers of both films Sooryavanshi and 83, says, “We definitely don’t want to change the date of ’83 for Sooryavanshi. The sports drama is still slated to release on Christmas. We have to decide on the new date of Sooryavanshi with the director and actor, but the film should release between January and March.”
Sooryavanshi was earlier planned for March 2020 release. However, because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the film release date got postponed indefinitely. Then, the makers have announced the new release date as Diwali 2020. However, as per the latest development film is now pushed to 2021.
Still, it is good news for all fans of Akshay Kumar and movie lovers who like to visit the theaters to watch movies on a big screen. Makers are at least avoiding the digital route unlike Laxmmi Bomb, Bhuj: The Pride of India, Coolie No. 1, and many others.
