No doubt Laxmmi Bomb is creating a buzz at least in the digital media for sure.

We already mentioned in our previous articles that Disney Plus Hotstar has brought the digital rights of Laxmmi Bomb for a whopping INR 120-125 crores. Now we have heard that film will directly release on Disney+ Hotstar in the month of July. If we go by the inside reports then the announcement will happen in the next 5-6 days.

Gulabo Sitabo is already premiered on Amazon Prime Video and now Disney Plus is all set to step up their game.

Laxmmi Bomb stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead role. The film is directed by Raghava Lawrence. The film is an official remake of Muni 2: Kanchana.

Laxmmi Bomb is creating good buzz across the trade and would have been nice if it was released first in theatres. But there seems no stopping of coronavirus pandemic in India at this moment and makers can't wait for more now. A lot of finance is on stake and logic says it is now better to release the movie on OTT.

Yes, exhibitors will be upset by the news but they also have to look into the matter that producers of the film are going through so much pain. Also, there seems no clarity on when cinema halls will open again in India. If it opens also then there is no guarantee that audiences to go to theatres to watch films. No doubt sad times ahead for the exhibition sectors.
