Drama surrounding Laxmmi Bomb release on OTTP and Theaters continues

There is still no official announcement on Laxmmi Bomb whether it will release in theaters or will directly release on the OTT platform that is Hotstar+Disney. Laxmmi Bomb starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani is one of the anticipated films of the year.

According to strong rumours, the film is all set to release on Hotstar+Disney in the month of June. According to them, the deal was done and sealed.

However, as lockdown is relaxed across India and chances of cinema hall opening in the month of either June or July gets stronger, there is still a possibility that Laxmmi Bomb might see the theatrical light. One thing is almost certain that it will be one of the earliest releases when theatres open in India. And if not then OTT release is the only other option left.

Now the main issue is that Sooryavanshi which also stars Akshay Kumar in lead is all set and ready for release. Sooryavanshi is most likely to be the first big film to be released in theaters once cinema halls are open. So, what will then happen to Laxmmi Bomb which also stars Akshay in lead? This is the real headache for the makers. Ideally, a minimum of 1-2 month is needed between the releases starring a big star nowadays.

We think makers will take a bit more time to decide all the permutation and combination before going official. Also, they will see whether the cinema halls are going to open in the month of June or not. Or any big official announcement is on cards in the next few days? Interesting time ahead.
