Salman Khan Pledges to Financially Support 25000 Daily Wage Workers from Film Industry

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is always known for his golden heart and philanthropy work. He has now come forward to financially support 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry. 

As the country is in lockdown because of the coronavirus Covid 19 pandemic, film industry is totally closed down. Because of this issue around 5 lakh workers are out of work at this moment.

Salman Khan's charitable trust Being Human Foundation contacted FWICE regarding the issue. FWICE informed Being Human Foundation that out of 5 Lakh workers, around 25,000 are in dire need of financial help. Being Human Foundation has asked for account details of those 25,000 workers and it is learnt that money will be directly transferred to those account.

BN Tiwari, president of FWICE said, "Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation has come forward to help daily wage workers. They called us three days ago. We have about 5 lakh workers out of which 25,000 are in dire need of financial help. Being Human Foundation said they will take care of these workers on their own. They have asked for account details of these 25,000 workers as they want to ensure that money reaches them directly," he told PTI.
