Love Aaj Kal has shown a significant drop on Saturday (2nd Day) at the box office. Thus, film fate is almost sealed and Sunday will give us further clarity. The film is riding on one of the worst audience words of mouth in years and writing looks on the wall.
Love Aaj Kal has collected 8 crore net approx on day 2. Drop from the first day is a big 35%. On ideal case scenario numbers should have remained at a similar level at least. Sunday may go flat now.
Love Aaj Kal two day total now stands at 20.4 crore net approx. The film might struggle to touch 30 crore net for the first weekend. A 50 crore net lifetime collections look a tough ask now. This is shocking, to say the least.
Prior to the release, Love Aaj Kal was seen as a 100 crore film because of the stellar star cast of Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. The film might struggle to do half of that business now. Director Imtiaz Ali's track record is consistent as he all set to deliver another debacle in Love Aaj Kal. Interestingly his latest debacle is set to surpass all his previous debacles by a long margin.
